Welding automation
Welding automation by means of welding carriages
Welding automation increases productivity, improves weld quality and welder’s working environment. Portable welding carriages work in flat, horizontal and vertical welding positions to reduce wasted filler metal, eliminate over welding and increase welder’s arc time.
Automation is a perfect solution to typical problems of laborious hand welding:
- weld defects and costly repairs,
- over welding and inconsitent heat input,
- lack of skilled/experienced welders,
- harmful work conditions;
Define your application using welding positions infographics (click the drawing on the right to enlarge it) and see how our carriages can help you automate your job. If your task at hand is not covered on this web page contact us for dedicated solution to your application.

-
PB / 2F | Welding in horizontal-vertical position
Fillet welding refers to the process of joining two pieces of metal perpendicular to each other or lap joints which are two pieces of metal that overlap and are welded at the edges.
Horizontal fillet weld

-
PC / 2G | Welding in horizontal position
In horizontal welding, plates to be welded are placed in vertical plane while weld bead is deposited horizontally. It is a more difficult process because the molten metal flows downhill onto the lower plate.
Horizontal groove weld

PF / 3G 3F | Welding in vertical up position
In vertical welding, plates to be welded are placed on the vertical plane and weld bead is also deposited vertically. In case of thick material use of linear or pendulum oscillation is necessary to achieve high-quality weave welds.
Vertical groove weld
